Cinthia Lopes da Silva

I am a Professor at Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Paraná, Brazil. I work in undergraduate Physical Education courses for both bachelor's and education degrees since 2023. Previously, I was a Professor of the Post-graduate Programs in Human Movement Science and Education, as well as the Physical Education graduate course, at Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba/Methodist University of Piracicaba (Unimep) from 2008 until 2021. I also served as a Professor of the Post-graduate Program in Education at Universidade do Planalto Catarinense from September 2022 until February 2023. Additionally, I have been a member of the board of directors of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) Council of Exercise and Sports Science (BRICSCESS) since 2017. I completed my Master's Degree in Physical Education in 2003 and my Doctoral Degree in Physical Education in 2008, both at University State of Campinas/Brazil, with a Sandwich Doctorate at the Technical University of Lisbon (Portugal). I also completed Post-Doctoral studies in Communication at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona/Spain). I am the author of many published works, including books, papers, complete congress texts, and abstracts. I have participated in several congresses as a lecturer and oral presenter, both in Brazil and other countries, such as Spain, France, Argentina, Ecuador, Portugal, South Africa, and the United States of America. My main areas of study and research are leisure and School Physical Education, both from a sociocultural reference. I concluded a research project funded by FAPESP Brazilian agency for basic education using an augmented reality application to create comic books for education for leisure. The online teaching course in international higher education that I took through Eurosci Network was very important for me to better understand OBS and use it in my work.
